Haiti Trip

We have sponsored one of our own on a trip to Haiti with Global Orphan Project. We dropped Ami off at the airport on Thursday night where she flew through the night to Miami, and then on to Port-Au-Prince Haiti. After a long van ride she and her team arrived at the orphanage in Desire.

Ami, Lindgren Landscape CFO, has been to Haiti before and has a strong desire to help the children in an orphanage in the town of Desire. She and her team have spent the last several days working with the children, teaching them English, delivering care packages, and spending time playing with them. The un-employment rate in Haiti is 80%, but if these children learn English the chances of getting a job goes up remarkably.

Ami will travel back to Port-Au-Prince on Wednesday morning and be back in Colorado Wednesday night. We are grateful that she is willing to work with these children and are proud to support her.
